Project Overview
While I was working with a company in the financial industry, we decided to add guest posting to our marketing strategy in order to enhance the authority of our own website.
Our plan was to make the subject of R&D tax credits more accessible by providing actionable advice for business owners and financial managers.
In order to do this, I teamed up with the SEO specialist. While they would source relevant websites, I worked on writing content that suited the platform while introducing new readers to the subject.
Part of this collaboration included researching what people were searching for, which is how we came up with the idea of “how to optimise business grants for R&D tax credits”.
The host website required an article between 600 - 800 words, so I got to work researching the best way to educate new readers, while maintaining our signature professional tone.
After my research period, I recognised that the best audience for this piece would be small businesses and startups, so I wrote the article as though I was speaking directly to people that head up these kinds of companies.
While writing this piece, I also made sure to include keywords that were a vital part of our strategy. In order to further enhance the reach of this content, I included a range of keywords that were highlighted throughout my own research.
